What Famous English Battles Are There In The 18th Century?
One of the more famous was actually in Scotland – the Battle of Culloden in 1746 – between the English and the Jacobites (who wanted James Stuart, not George I, to be king.) The Seven Years War (starting in 1756) also involved Britain, which fought in several famous battles including the Battle of Quiberon Bay (against France.) The Siege of Quebec in 1759 was another well-known battle.
