What famous American general do Brits admire?
My guess is that many famous American Generals from George Washington on down are admired by us British. My own personal favourite is George S Patton who had a bet with Winston Churchill that he would cross the Rhine first. Not sure who won that bet. RIP George Patton – you were much loved by your men, you never minced your words and you were a total bastard to the enemy. Without you there would be one less hero to admire down the ages.
