What fail safes are built in to assure no damage results from using two fuels?
The primary control scheme adapts to normal changes in environmental conditions to maintain safe levels of NG combustion. In addition to this, the system uses sensors on the engine that can detect conditions approaching pre-ignition in the combustion chamber. If such conditions are sensed, the system quickly reduces or stops NG flow as needed to protect the engine from the damaging effects of pre-ignition.
