What factors can delay consultant contract approval?
Processing time is often extended for the following reasons: • Changes have been made by either the department or the consultant to the University’s boilerplate contract. • The consultant has attached its own third-party contract or proposal to the University’s contract that includes language that conflicts with the University’s boilerplate contract or standing policy. • A faxed copy of the signed contract is received. To satisfy auditing requirements the university must receive an original copy of a contract.
