What factors are considered in settlements?
It is impossible to list the many factors considered in making a settlement. Of course, you must consider whether the factual basis of liability is favorable and the amount of “damages.” Probably the most serious factor to consider is the nature and extent of any permanent disability and how that disability affects the worker’s ability to earn and lead a useful and normal life.
