Their is currently convincing data pointing to the important role of the weakening of immune system in the evolution of demodex and of its chronic state. Strong emotional stresses, neuroendocrinal, gastrointestinal, mental, immune diseases, lesions hepatobiliary systems and breakdowns of lipid exchanges can contribute to the onset of demodex. Our data indicates that the application of expensive cosmetics with hormonal and other biological additives, excessive bathing, and sunburn are primary initiators of demodex. Under these conditions the demodex mite generates physical and chemical stimuli calling and enflaming pathological processes in the body.
