There are several factors that can affect what is a good temp for reef tanks. One of these factors is the temperature of the room where the aquarium is located. Likewise, heat produced by the water pumps and the water heater and chiller used can affect the reef aquarium temperature. Evaporation of tank water and convective cooling through air blown over the surface may also affect the tank’s temperature.
