What factor is used to convert meters to feet?

0

There are 2 different values for the relationship of the meter/foot that can be used, the appropriate conversion depends on which state you’re in: 1 m = 3.28083333333333 U.S. Survey Feet 1 m = 3.28083989501312 International Feet The attached map shows which states have legislated a specific foot conversion value and which have not. I find that in those states that have not legislated a specific value the de facto standard seems to be U.S. Survey Feet. Regardless of which value you use you should make sure that you indicate the conversion in whatever products your survey produces.
