The School is committed to improving its facilities for students with disabilities and to making reasonable adjustments in order to meet the special requirements of individual students. The Adviser to Students with Disabilities provides a point of contact for prospective and current students and liaises with other areas of the School. Prospective students are encouraged to make early contact with the Adviser to discuss arrangements and, where possible, make a preliminary visit to the School. Facilities currently include: • Fully accessible Library with two study rooms set aside for students with disabilities; lockers; book fetch and photocopying assistance where required; • Specialist software and IT support; • A limited number of rooms in three halls of residence have been adapted for wheelchair users; • Some lecture theatres are equipped with induction loops or infra-red systems for those with hearing impairments; • Readers, note-takers and assistants can be arranged as required.
