Community Service is always a plus. Also, if you have a passion, show it via the activities you did (for me, a Computer guy, I listed how I went to a Tech Forum over the summer, and now I was the webmaster for one of my schools clubs). Avoid just listing a million clubs, etc. that your “kinda” part of. Nothing pisses of an adcom more than seeing just “fillers” in extracurriculars. As for the SAT. Do retry and take it. It’s not the end of the world if you have a low SAT, remember college people look at EVERYTHING.
