While the precise numbers of housing blocks developed will be based on detailed plans, and are subject to final rezoning approvals, the following indications are provided on new land release: Boorooma East – 400 lots (approx) Estella West – 2000 lots (approx) Lloyd – 1500 lots (approx) Total new lots if all zonings approved would be around 3900 blocks. Approval of the Lloyd release area for rezoning is dependent upon resolution of the identified urban salinity issues. There is also significant land available for housing development on existing zoned land however the availability of the most attractive of this land is clearly decreasing. In recognition of this, Council (with the endorsement of the Planning Panel) have moved to fast track the rezoning of around 600 blocks in the Boorooma and Lloyd areas, prior to the gazettal of the major LEP. This has received preliminary State support. Existing zoned lands and possible yields are summarised as follows. Boorooma West – 400 lots (approx)
