A. Mifeprex has gone through the rigorous Food and Drug Administration approval process for safety and effectiveness. Mifeprex is the first FDA approved early option pill for ending pregnancy. More than 2,000 women in the United States participated in clinical trials; the results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and the American Medical Association’s Archives of Family Medicine Journal.
