What experience does HSWAC have with SWAC?
HSWAC personnel have direct experience in developing Scandinavian projects, including Europe’s largest seawater air conditioning project in Stockholm, Sweden. The Stockholm system includes approximately 80,000 tons of air conditioning load and is still expanding. HSWAC’s Vice President of Engineering has directly worked on several seawater and fresh deep water systems. The Honolulu Project’s deep water engineer, Makai Ocean Engineering, undertook the deep water side pipe design for the Toronto, Canada, and Cornell University projects. Makai also was the design engineer for the Natural Energy Laboratory seawater pipes located at Kona on the Big Island that was successfully initiated over 20 years ago and has been expanded and extended.
