What exercises following dislocated shoulder?
Q . I recently dislocated my right shoulder playing Football. Before playing again are there any specific exercises I could employ to make sure I don’t redislocate? A. There are lots of shoulder exercises you could do BUT it is extremely important that you are assessed by a good sports physiotherapist first, to make sure you are not prone to re-current shoulder dislocations. Theinitial treatment of your dislocation is extremely important. I am sure that the physiotherapist will check you for lax joints, called Hypermobility. The exercises can be tailored to your individual needs. This may cost you money, as specialist sports physiotherapy advice is not always available on the NHS, but it will be money well spent.
