Traditionally the Dory is a small, shallow-draft boat. Usually it is about 15 to 22 feet long. The Dory is a lightweight and versatile boat that has high side, sharp bows and a flat bottom. It has been used for fishing for centuries in waters and lakes as well as on the open sea. The Dory is easy to build because of it’s simple lines. Despite the simplicity of the boat the dories are well known for their seaworthiness and rowing ease.
