What examples of problem solving can be used in an intervew?
As an HR Manager in a hotel I usually look for a number of things, some of which you can influence some you can’t. For every interview I do I have a job description and person specification which I use to screen and select individuals based on the requirements of the job – these are things you can’t influence, you either have them or you don’t. For ‘soft’ side of the interview – attitude, personality etc you can change. Arriving slightly early, being conscious of your personal presentation – be smart no matter what job you’re applying for a suit and tie is good! Smile (it helps relax you and makes you look friendly!) Listen to the question, pay attention to the interviewer and answer their question, not what you information you want to give them!
