Dolly was cloned when they took an egg from the mother sheep, took out the nucleus in the egg and replaced it with a nucleus from dolly’s clone, they then put that egg in the sheep that gave birth to dolly. It took over 2,000 trials to finally end up with a successful clone (Dolly), however, dolly ended up dying of cancer after only a couple years.
