What exactly is the Silent Drill Team?
The USNA Silent Drill Team – The Jolly Rogers – is a brotherhood of men and women that are America’s elite. It is classified as a Brigade Support Activity (BSA) and fulfills the midshipmen’s extracurricular activity requirement. The Silent Drill Team’s mission includes representing the Brigade of Midshipmen at various activities ranging from parades to organized drill competitions against other service academies and college ROTC units. The Team is lead by midshipmen, with an Officer and Enlisted Representative in an advisory role.
