What exactly is the paired testing concept?
It is a way to reduce the incidence of perjury, that can be applied whenever one of two opposing witnesses must almost certainly be lying about key facts. At the request of either party, witnesses are examined about those facts by proficient polygraphists. If one witness tests “deceptive” and that result is corroborated by a “non-deceptive” result by the opposing witness (“paired results”) then the deceptive witness is either barred from testifying about those facts, or the results of the tests may be used to impeach his or her testimony about them.
