What exactly is the neti pot?
It is a little teapot-like device that runs a light saline water up one nostril and out the other. It flushes out all the pollen, bacteria, and bad things that make all our sinus nightmares come true. And it has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine to alleviate sinus and allergy problems. –> Yeah, yeah, yeah, but what does modern medicine have to say? Well, all good things! The New York Times recently reported on several independent studies that showed daily use improves allergy and sinus symptoms. Oprah has backed the neti pot, featuring it on her show. And this is proof indeed that it must work, since even Oprah cannot brainwash a sinus suffering into believing her sinuses can clear on their own. And as for me – I started using the neti pot and immediately deemed my friend’s dad completely insane.
