What exactly is the cameras zoom?

0

Our Video Calling System’s camera has a total combined zoom of 44x. This refers to the combination of our 22x optical zoom and 2x digital zoom. Our zoom may be referred to elsewhere just as 22x; this is because optical zoom is widely known to be far more important than digital. With an optical zoom the camera lens will actually zoom in closer to the object you wish to see, so you get a clear, close-up and magnified image. Digital zoom, however, works by cropping and enlarging the image you already have, resulting in lower-quality images. Ultimately, the optical zoom of a camera is far more important than the digital zoom.
