What exactly is meant by “JDG Specialist”?
A JDG Specialist presents the JDG curriculum in the classroom; counsels and mentors JDG participants. JDG personnel, in cooperation with school administrators, select the JDG Specialist. The Specialist position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, two years of full-time paid work experience, a satisfactory criminal background check, and a negative pre-employment drug test result. Specialists must meet the State Department of Education certification standards as a school-to-work transition teacher within two years of their employment.
