What exactly is a content management system?
A content management system or CMS is a program that allows you to edit your website, add text, change the font, font size, color, create tables, add or delete pictures, create pages and sub-pages, turn them on or off yourself without having to call your web designer. In most instances and with the more sophisticated programs, you can do most if not all of the above typically using a screen that resembles a MS Word document and buttons. In that way, you don’t need any other programs to maintain and edit your website and it can be done from any PC on the internet. See the picture below.
