What exactly goes into making a PlushCreations lingerie and jewelry bag?
Bringing a bag to the website involves a lot more than one might imagine. As the designer, I consider my job to be the ‘fun’ part although it is by no means simple or fast. There is no ‘one stop shopping’ for all that goes into our bags. The outer fabric will come from one source, while the linings, ribbons, zippers, trims and piping usually come from several other sources. To find all the components that eventually bring you the finished product may take months. Once they are all together, I personally cut, fold and iron down each ribbon end. Our ribbon ends are later sewn for a cleaner look and to ensure no fraying. All the materials are brought to the person who handsews each item. She measures, cuts and sews each bag and then steams them to give you the bags you see on our website and in stores. Our jewelry bags, with the necklace hanger ribbon and three invisible zippers sewn in are very time consuming to make, but we would not offer anything less. They are amazingly beautiful and
