Here’s an example: 1. Apply film of oil to filter 2. Install filter 3. Tighten 3/4-1 turn beyond gasket contact (this may vary by filter) 4. Fill engine with oil to normal level5. Check for engine oil level and check for leaks. Re-tighten if necessary.
