What, exactly, does Fox own of Buffy?
Fox owns everything that Buffy and the gang ever has or ever will do or say. It owns anything based on the show, and all the rights to rebroadcast, reproduce, remake or reinterpret. If you flip to the copyright information for Immortal by Chris Golden and Nancy Holder you will notice that the two authors do not have the copyright, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation does. There is one exception, but we will get to that later.
