What exactly does a hedge fund manager do…?

0

An h.f. manager, together with his staff of 50-100 analysts, put toghether high amounts of money (tot 500+ dollar millions) from single investors, and move high risk capital assets in order to gain as much as possible from selling and buying operations. To become a hf manager I think you should have an MBA, have been employed for at least 20+ years in a primary financial institution (i.e. Goldman Sachs, Merril..) and be globally recongnized as an expert in financial markets (because you should persuade people to invest their money, 100000 US$ as minimum in Europe, in high risk assets!) I’m sorry I am not an HF manager, I’m only a commodity analyst. Furthermore I’m based in Italy.
