What exactly are the goals of Jackson Web?
Original goals as posted by the Web Development Team of University Computers, founders of the Jackson Web: We had several goals in mind when we presented the idea of a Jackson web site to the city council. It was (and still is) our goal to provide information about every church, school, organization, business, and public resource that our citizens have at their disposal. We also wanted to be able to showcase the wonderful sights to see in Jackson, and encourage growth in the business/industry sector. We basically wanted a place that every citizen could be proud to point their friends/colleagues to when they were asked the question, “Where the heck is Jackson, Missouri?” Re-aligned goals as designed in a group effort between the City, Chamber, and new Administrator: While maintaining the original goals as set forth by the founding fathers, a focus will be made in continuing development of the Jackson Web for the Jackson netizens (Internet citizens).
