What exactly are clonetroopers?
The clonetroopers are human clones created from Jango Fett’s genetic material in the Kaminoan cloning facilities. Unlike Boba Fett, the clonetroopers have been genetically altered to be more docile and obedient. There are different ranks of clonetroopers, designated by colored armor pieces at the shoulders in ranking officers. The clones form the “grand army of the Republic”, mysteriously ordered by someone identifying himself as Sifo-Dyas ten years prior to AOTC. The Battle of Geonosis marked the beginning of the Clone Wars. George Lucas stated on Entertainment Tonight that the beginning of Episode III will show the end of the Clone Wars. -Not one piece of clonetrooper armor was created for AOTC. Armored clonetroopers are completely CG, with voices recorded by Temuera Morrison. In the scene on Kamino with the clones wearing red and eating together, they are composite images of actor Bodie Taylor.
