I was out of town over the weekend and was shopping for a souvenir and came upon Christmas ornaments. None of them said “Merry Christmas,” but only, “Season’s Greetings,” or “Happy Holidays.” Shouldn’t the winter celebration of Christmas be called what it is; Merry and Christmas? Who else has a pine tree in their home during the winter to celebrate Christmas but people who celebrate Christmas? Aren’t some things obviously related to people who would prefer something having, “Merry Christmas,” engraved on cards and ornaments? Anyone else bothered by this? A: I am very bothered by this. The Christians no longer have any rights. On the government level, there is no reference to any religion because of separation of church and state. Freedom of religion means that we can worship (or not) in any way we wish.
