What ever happened to the classic American movie monsters?
By Julia Zalewski Insisting on sleeping with a night light on at the age of nineteen quite frankly may agree with the fantastical Peter Pan theory of never wanting to grow up. But, after countless nights of wishing I had a clap on, clap off light so I could avoid the risky run to my bed after I switched my overhead light off, and then tucking myself into bed with blankets at chins reach, I am not afraid to admit my secret. I have my reasons; scary movies still frighten the living daylights out of me. Its Halloween season and new horror movies are being released. Recent box office queen Megan Fox appears on screen in her demonic role in Diablo Cody’s (writer of 2007 Juno) Jennifer’s Body. Also, Penn Badgley takes his turn in the remake of the 1987 thriller The Stepfather, hitting theaters October 16th.
