What ever happened to Mandy?
This, along with “What does Josh carry in his backpack?” is one of life’s great mysteries. We prefer to just enjoy her absence and not question it. Moira Kelly, the actress who played Mandy, left the show after it was mutually agreed that her character wasn’t working. In November of last year, Aaron Sorkin was quoted in Entertainment Weekly, saying that Mandy’s as-yet unexplained disappearance would be resolved, but it never happened. He was quoted again in January, saying “We’ve waited so long at this point that I’m not even sure how we can do it right,” put still promised to keep his word. Frankly, at this point most of us have just given up on it.
