What ethical dilemmas are found in The Truman Show?
Well there are many xD! That is such a great movie… 1) A company “owns” a human being. That basically is abstracting government and taking all the rights of someone away and allowing a big business to be in control of this person. 2) This company runs this guys life. He was lied to from birth about who he is, what he does. Everyone he met was a lie essentially and everything he did was staged. 3) Privacy. He has no privacy — being watched at all times. All his secretes are known to the entire world basically! 4) Out of the loop. He doesn’t even know this is happening to him and consequently, is unable to just “leave” whenever. I am sure there are more ethical dilemmas. I haven’t seen the movie in like over a year… Hope this helps!
