What equipment is supplied by the Nova Scotia Firefighters School?
There is a limited amount of Turnout Gear available at the School. Students are encouraged to provide their own Turnouts or Bunker Gear as it is tailored to fit themselves. There is no activity at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School which is beyond the scope of day to day firefighting activities. The Nova Scotia Firefighters School provides all of the other equipment used in firefighting training on site. Some fire departments that may have a different brand of SCBA than the Schools, may wish to supply their own SCBA. The SCBA may be refilled at the School where the air test is posted into the Compressor Room and all standards and SCBA requirementsn are met.
