What equipment is required for comparative tests and flowability tests?
For the computer-controlled testing you need the computer-controlled version of the ring shear tester, which is called “RST-01.pc” from 1999, without further accessories. This tester has to be connected to a PC via the serial communication port. If you would like to save money and to perform the tests “manually”, you should choose the manually operated ring shear tester RST-01.01 in standard configuration. Here a chart recorder (x-t-recorder) or a data acquisition system has to be connected to the tester.
