What equipment is needed to get the MountainMesh service?
If your location is close enough to one of our nodes that distribute the WIFI signal, then a simple wireless card or wireless router will connect you. Some locations will need an antenna and even a power booster to get connected to the system. The exact equipment needed can only be determined during installation. Below is a list of equipment based on your configuration: Single Computer Households: If your wireless card connects to the “Visit_MountainMesh.net” signal strongly enough then nothing else is required. You can begin surfing after signing up. If the signal is weak you will need to purchase a USB adapter from us or your local electronics store. Multiple computer households require an in-home router in addition to the $260 CPE device we install which brings the signal into your home. We can provide you with a router for $99.00 or you may use your own.
