What engineering majors are offered at UW-Madison?
In the College of Engineering, students may obtain undergraduate and graduate degrees in • Biomedical Engineering (BME) • Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) • Civil Engineering (CEE) • Computer Engineering (CMPE) • Electrical Engineering (EE) • Engineering Mechanics (EM) • Geological Engineering (GLE) • Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) • Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) • Mechanical Engineering (ME) • Nuclear Engineering (NE) Degrees in Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) are also available through the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. At the undergraduate level, specialization in certain engineering areas is possible, such as in construction engineering and management, environmental engineering, and astronautics. Special graduate programs are offered in numerous areas. An engineer with a bachelor’s degree in one of the traditional fields of engineering can pursue graduate study in the same field or in one of the more specialized fields.
