According to my research, Lecithin Intolerance, refers to LC AT ( Lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase deficiency ). This is a disorder of ” lipoprotein ” metabolism. Lecithin ” cholesterol acyltransferase” catalyzes the formation of cholesterol esters in lipoproteins. It is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations of the LCAT gene, located on chromosome 16q22. Lecithin is high in phosphorous and unites with iron,iodine, and calcium to give power and vigor to the brain. Cholesterol is a fatty substance that tends to collect in the walls of the arteries and veins, thus narrowing these walls. This may lead to a fatal blood clot. Lecithin has the ability to break up cholesterol into smaller particles, which can be easily handled by the system. With sufficient intake of Lecithin, cholesterol cannot build up against the walls of the arteries and veins. I hope that this helped some.
