What employees are required to have a criminal history record check?
Potential employees of providers of services who will have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with people with developmental disabilities are required to have criminal history record checks. Among others, drivers and employees accompanying consumers while they are transported are required to have OMRDD checks. A provider of services is an individual, association, corporation, or other public or private agency which provides services for the mentally disabled.
