What emotional effects can warm colors have?
Warm colors can have the following emotional effects (among others): • coziness • excitement • anger • optimism • violence • cheerfulness Warm colors (red, yellow, orange, and some variations of brown) would stand out and overpower cooler colors (examples: dark green, blue, and black). Red can increase respiration or raise blood pressure. I would think that painting a white room with warm colors would make it feel cozier and less spacious.
