What email addresses were changed?

This information only applies to email addresses that end with “@orst.edu”. This does not apply to email addresses for ONID, Lyris lists, other 3rd level domains (e.g. math.orst.edu) or Lifetime addresses. • Is @orst.edu being turned off? A: No. We are not turning off the @orst.edu addresses. • How long will my @orst.edu address be maintained? A: We will maintain the @orst.edu addresses for as long as is technically possible. • What happened on September 1st, 2003? A: We froze the @orst.edu namespace. This means that DCAs are no longer able to create new @orst.edu addresses and are not able to change existing ones without contacting Network Engineering. • What happened on January 4th, 2004? A: Everyone who had not already changed their outbound (“reply-to”) address to @oregonstate.edu was changed automatically. All @orst.edu addresses continue to work. This means that when you send mail, it now appears to come from you@oregonstate.edu, but you are still able to receive mail sent to you
