What else is required from a CFA volunteer?
CFAs should be organized, mature individuals who are able to work independently. Trained CFAs are are required to only present the information provided to them during certification training and through regular updates. This means CFAs do not endorse any particular product, brand name or store, and will share only information that is reliable and evidence-based, as provided during training. Besides doing presentations and placements, CFAs are asked to attend meeting every second month and are encouraged to take part in group activities. To maintain their status as a trained Community Food Advisor, CFAs must attend 2 education updates and must volunteer for a minimum of 3 placements each year.
