What else is Openreach doing to tell people who they are?
Apart from Expect Openreach, we also run an internal Openreach training programme called What’s Openreach. This is designed to ensure our people (including engineers) are describing Openreach correctly when they speak to people (friends, family and end users). Awareness is also a major focus of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme. Here we have been working with I CAN children’s charity to host roadshows, run campaigns and develop resources – all of which are designed to help children develop their communication skills and provide valuable information to parents about communication development and difficulties. Other programmes include; our branded van rollout programme (now complete), product placement (gaining visibility of Openreach vans in TV and film) and of course sponsorship activities (in particular our recently announced role as the Official Telecommunications Infrastructure Partner for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games).
