What else is on the horizon for Americans operations at Logan International Airport in Boston?
We have just received the green light to begin the renovation process to upgrade and update our facility here in Boston in Terminal B – the Admirals Club. It was one of the projects that – when oil hit $150 per barrel this past summer – we started reevaluating. It was on hold for most of the summer and through the fall. Why spend more money upgrading the club when lots of passengers don’t buy the membership to use it? Our customers who use our Admirals Club are some of our top corporations and premium travelers that fly on American Airlines. We get lots of traffic through our clubs, particularly here in Boston. What’s happening to your corporate travel business? Clearly we’re seeing some alarming trends in our advance bookings – particularly first and business class bookings to international destinations, as well as a downturn in corporate volume overall.
