What else can Ethiopians in Europe, Canada and Australia do to help in the struggle for human rights in Ethiopia?
All Ethiopians in the Diaspora equally share the responsibilities and duties of improving the human rights situation in Ethiopia. We should avoid the tendency of placing the entire responsibility on Ethiopian Americans, and wait for the results of their efforts. We recognize that there are differences in the types of things that can be done in the United States and Europe, Canada and Australia or other parts of the world. One effort we should all try to undertake is to clone H.R. 5680 in the parliaments and legislatures of our respective countries.
