well if ur young, its because or growing…number two…u can have pms…i have pms and i get breast that swell up and are tender a week before mine…fibrocystic breast changes…benign bumps and lumps tend to be more tender before the period…a breast infection can be the cause as well…possibly ur an older gal and ur hitting menopause…or it can be alcohol related and u have a damaged liver…or u can have a pulled muscle…really there are a lot of things possible…id wait a few days…if it persists or comes back, or if u get other symptoms, head to the doc…if its bumps and lumps, u can feel em when u lay down and go around in a circle…mine are tender currently and a bit swollen because of working out the upper body lol…plus because the pill is a hormone basically…it can cause ur breast to be tender…so its prob the pill…but it can also be the other stuff i listed…

A side affect of the pill is breast tenderness and enlargement , horrible I’ve got it but I think you just gotta put up with it or go see your doctor and change the pill your on.
