The Ind revolution of the late 19th century brought scope of sharp rise in economy of the countries where the new inventions came. The production of abundance of marketable products triggered the ambitions of the govts to find markets for their products and ended up in colonisation of countries where the revolution did not reach! So there was more impact on economic and political front rather than social front that sufferd sharp disparity among nations. The cut throat market (among colonial rulers in particular) competition also ignited conflicts among European countries follwed by other rich nations, who got alerted about the expansionist ambitions of the neo rich empires! So the social interests suffered much set back, with political ambitions and economic competitions taking centre stage.
