Meehan: If it does anything, it holds our company to an even higher standard. We have a compliance officer in place, and I sit on the committee. We meet once a month with our legal and compliance teams. With every training class at Medtronic Diabetes, I review the seven principles of Medtronic-MiniMed management, one of which is integrity. The sales team is encouraged to be creative in the field to achieve success, but it is never acceptable to cross the line and violate ethical codes, codes of conduct, or business practices.
