HTML code that has been encrypted by HTML Guard cannot be read or interpreted by search engines. In contrast to today’s browsers, the spiders used by search engines do not recognize JavaScript and can therefore not execute the source code used for encryption. The encrypted content is therefore completely hidden from search engines, and this can have a negative effect on a page’s search engine-friendliness. You should therefore only use HTML Guard’s encryption function after due consideration, and apply it only to selected pages and portions of pages. The remaining protective measures used by HTML Guard have no negative effect on your site’s search engine ranking – they only add code or delete unnecessary pieces of code without having any effect on its basic structure.
