Many different building materials affect Radio Frequency (RF) transmissions. How much a transmission is affected depends on the material. Glass, and Plasterboard (Gyprock) will not have much affect on RF communications. Brick and stone have a quite large effect. Steel reinforced concrete and sheet metal will have a major affect on communications.
